Top 5 Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps Performance in Middle East Q4 2023

In Q4 2023, the top 5 carpooling and ridesharing apps in the Middle East demonstrated diverse performance trends in terms of weekly downloads and active users, as per Sensor Tower data.

Uber - Request a ride saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, starting at around 62K in late September and ending the quarter at approximately 49K. The app's weekly active users dipped from 1.79M at the beginning of the quarter to about 1.63M by the end of December.

Careem – rides, food & more experienced a relatively steady download rate, beginning with around 46K downloads in late September and closing the quarter with about 42K. Active users showed a slight decline, from 481K at the start of the quarter to 403K towards the end.

Bolt: Request a Ride had a consistent download trend, starting at approximately 43K and ending at around 37K. Active users remained fairly stable, with a minor decrease from 218K to around 193K over the quarter.

Jeeny - جيني showed growth in weekly downloads, beginning at about 24K and peaking at around 33K in early December before settling at approximately 27K. Active users increased from 138K in late September to about 153K in early December, ending the quarter at around 140K.

Ego | The Ride Hailing App maintained a stable download rate, starting with around 24K and ending the quarter at approximately 21K. Active users showed a slight increase from 173K to about 184K over the same period.
